This week has been very busy, and emotional for me. My first job was completely crazy and I put in almost 80 hours in 5 days. Friday was the worst because I was up at 1am for the 1st job and finished the 2nd job at 1am. I’m sure people noticed the #24Hours tag I was using while tweeting all day. I was able to tweet at least once every hour for a 24 hour period.
On the emotional side of things, a very close friend of mine from work passed away on Monday. His name was Paul Sublette and I wanted to include him in this post as my way to remember him (hence this edition). Paul and I performed the same job at GM and for about a year we were part of the best salary team of people that I’ve ever been of part of. Him and I were the ones who always brought humor to the table. With out him work life was just boring. Paul was also my smoking buddy for many years. I have been smoke free for quite a while, but Paul kept smoking. He died at the age of 43 from natural causes, a bad heart. The smoking had a major role in that. I miss my friend, but I will remember him forever.

Now onto the good parts of this Remember When Edition. As you know I’m part of the Yakezie Challenge which is a group of bloggers working together to improve our Alexa rankings. I’m currently ranked at 140,038. I began the challenge at 829,000 so I’ve made some great improvements. I would just like to say thank-you to all my readers. You are the one who visit the site and help my rankings. Without you and your interaction, I would still be at 829,000. So I thank each and every one of you

Elle is the brains behind a great website called CoupleMoney. Elle was featured on Problogger this week in a guest post that she wrote about Tips for Doing the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge. In you don’t know, having a post on Problogger is one the biggest honors in the blogging community. I’m proud of Elle, and very proud to be part of the Yakezie challenge with her. Healthcare
Today the House will vote on the Obama healthcare plan. The bill is 2,000 plus pages long with ton a wasteful spending included. I’m all for having a great healthcare program but I continue to wonder how they are going to pay for it. I’m not going to get in it here, I would just like to highlight a great cartoon that JoeTaxpayer posted yesterday. I want to remember the healthcare vote so here is Joe’s post, Obamacare Going to Pass?
